So this is what it like -- Cardiff 2 Norwich 1

So this is what it is like to win.

This is what it is like to suffer near cardiac arrest as your team is pummelled while hanging onto a single goal advantage.

This is what it is like to see your side better in attack and abysmal in defence - when did we last see that in Cardiff City?

This is what it is like to see your manager make changes after only 35 minutes.

Norwich hit the post, the bar, the line and anything other than the back of the net. They scored and were offside, once so marginally it could have been given either way.  Marshall pulled off amazing saves, Bellamy cleared off the line and our new forward Kenwynne Jones took over centre half duties.

All hands to the pumps and we still sprang leaks like a Welshmen on St David’s day.

Bellamy, Kenwyne Jones and Zaha showed their magic only briefly but gave us two goals.

This victory is at first sight mere relief after all the losses and draws.

It is a sign of Solskjaer’s notion of football: 1 goalkeeper and ten attacking players. Fabio is brilliant at going forward but is a liability at the back. How I wished MacNaughton were out there. But Fabio will get a better understanding with Noone and the coaches will sort him out.

Kenwyyne Jones scored but otherwise was the invisible man in attack. In defence he was awesome, constantly heading clear the lethal Norwich corners. Without him we would have conceded at least once.
So the big question. Who partners Caulker? On today’s evidence Turner looked poor, the worst I have seen him. Maybe a mind thing after being dropped when he must have seen himself as first choice. Hudson has to do all he can to impress the boss, he is surely the man for the job. We cannot rely on Kenwyne’s head for the rest of the season.
We are second from bottom with 21 points. If we had just one more win we would be joint 12th with the swans, Sunderland and Norwich.

We need points, and what do points mean? They mean safety from the Championship and playing the likes of Burnley, Middlesborough and Huddersfield. I have already had a life time of that.

Bring on the lack lustre Swans, but sort out that defence.
